  1. Stay away from practicing that stuff. It says straight up in the bible anything of the occult and psychics isn't from God, so who would it be from? Obviously someone who is trying to allure people away from God.

God doesn't want us to get into that stuff becuase he wants us to depend on him for everything not some lady with tarot cards to find out a question, or a magic potion that will do something, because that's playing God in your own life making things happen that were never planned to.

    God Bless you.

  2. According to the Bible, it's condemned but I don't think its one of the Cardinal Sin's. Its mostly seen as having a connection to the devil. I personally don't see it as a doctrine.

Anyway, if you really read the Bible, it has nothing to with good or bad, when it comes to acceptance from God. As for myself, I'm a Catholic and I practice a little bit of Santeria. And I don't feel disconnected from God at all, witchcraft on the other hand is a little different.  You should really watch out with witchcraft, most people end up regretting ever doing so.

  3. God stated that thou shall not have any other God before me... Which mean that witches do not worship God And those that worship magic are also not worshiping God.. Question Answered...................................

  4. Because God wants us to put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places" (Ephesians 6:11-12).

One who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead. For all who do these things are an abomination [detestable] to the LORD…”-Deuteronomy 18:9-12a

Those who follow the path of the magic arts are on the wrong path - a road that leads away from God, not toward Him. In one way or another, the end will be disaster. The evil Queen Jezebel practiced witchcraft (2 Kings 9:22) bringing catastrophe on herself and all Israel. Over and over, God denounces those who "conjure spells" (NKJV) and those who practice witchcraft and sorcery. The Bible says that anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord (Deuteronomy 18:10-12; 2 Kings 21:6; Micah 5:12; Isaiah 47:12; Ezekiel 13:18, 20; Acts 8:11-24; Leviticus 20:27; Exodus 7:11; Revelation 9:21; 22:15).

God warns of the ultimate punishment. Revelation 21:8 says of "…those who practice magic arts …their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur… the second death" (NIV). Those who practice witchcraft (sorcery) will not inherit the kingdom of God (Galatians 5:20-21). These practices are anti-God and are in rebellion against Him.

    Hope this helps. God Bless.

  5. Depends on what kind of magic?

You might want to look into Christian Kabbala and the White or High magic rituals of the 19th century?

One kind of witchcraft condemned in the Bible was necromancy : summoning the dead.

If your intent is pure and you wish to use white magic to bless or heal just make sure you are asking rather than commanding spirits and other powers to help you in the name of the ONE?

Magical or psychic gifts developed as a side effect of mysticism is ethical but again IF used to heal or bless.

St Paul lists wonderworking as a spiritual gift!

Think about this carefully and do a lot of reading?

  6. Magick and witchcraft are not against any Gods or Goddesses.  Many people who study the occult are trying to reach toward enlightenment and communion with God.  There is also Christian mysticism and Angel Magic if you need to stay in the warm fuzzy confines of the Christian dogma.  Blessed  be.

  7. because magic is considered to be the power of the devil :), saints never used magic, all the miracles they made were made by God who worked through them, witches, wizards, warlocks and sorceres use the power of the devil to make all sorts of evil things and "good" things but at a price and that price is their souls :)

  8. knowledge of the occult is not bad...

but practice and use of it is using Satan...which is the real sin

i believe some Christian colleges even have courses about which craft

i even study it with folklore along with stories of many pagan religions

  9. The master in the art of deception and illusion is none other than Satan the Devil. He has been practicing this art ever since his first performance before a human in the garden of Eden. (Genesis 3:1-19) What Christian would want to be like him? Instead, Christians are counseled to “become imitators of God” and to “subject [themselves] . . . to God; but oppose the Devil.”—Ephesians 5:1; James 4:7.

Most people, however, associate the word “magic” with entertainment. A person might create illusions with his hands (sleight of hand), having in mind that the hand is often quicker than the eye. There may be no Biblical objection to this. However, if there is a pretense of occult magic, would a Christian ever want to give the impression of possessing some supernatural, unexplainable power? Or if others are given the wrong impression by the “magical” performance, would a Christian not want to forgo such entertainment so as not to stumble others? (1 Corinthians 10:29, 31-33) In addition, there is the potential danger of a person’s being tempted to go further, into the deeper magical arts.

Therefore, when it comes to magic that is clearly connected with spiritism, true Christians wisely avoid practicing it. Beyond that, in all aspects of a Christian’s life—whether involving employment, recreation, or entertainment—he would want to “hold a good conscience,” a conscience that permits no offense against God or man.—1 Peter 3:16; Acts 24:16.

  10. if your interested in the stuff like the things Chris Angel does there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. It's just like black magic and santan worshiping things is kinda what is creepy.

  11. You mean like show magic? Performace Magicians and stuff right? Theres absolutely no problem with that, definitely not against God. Some with more radical beliefs might disagree, but you're fine doing that. So long as you're not doing anything crazy like old satanic supposed black magic ritual junk. Even though its a bunch of hooplah, thats definitely not a good idea.

  12. Actually it's not. There are many magic users in the bible. Just not the type of magic in modern culture like Wicca.

  13. There's no one god, no one creator, no one realm, no h**l. You can study magick, but know what your getting into. It's serious stuff being a magick user, so be sure to keep a open mind, & look at angels&ghost.com if you want to know what i meant by no h**l, k?

  14. It's not. Just the dark arts of the magic used to curse people are against God because it's against someone.

  15. It's NOT!!!!!!  "The Magi" were the three wise men, remember!

  16. the Christian religion believes that any kind od magic or witchcraft is evil and is against God.

  17. They originate in Pagan mythology and do not believe in God.  They were practices from an era of superstition and ignorance.  The practices were just rudimentary medicinal discoveries mixed with a whole lot of hokum and ritual mostly to impress people with the great skills of the practitioners.

  18. Look, I appreciate everyone speaking for God, but why not let Him answer for Himself on judgement day? I do not think you are in close enough contact to be speaking for Him. To answer your question, if you mean magic in what paganism has become, with lonely souls in dark robes, and sacrificing little animals, then yes, it is against why humans are on this planet. As a former Christian it is helpful to understand history as well.

Magic and witchcraft is associated with paganism these days. Paganism is the belief of multiple Gods, plain and simple. In ancient times these pagan Gods were not myths, they were actually real religions. It was not until people without a life turned it all into myths and mysticism. It is also accepted by scholars that the mainstream religions are in fact inspired in part by these pagan gods.

Magic for fun and show is just illusions and tricks, and doesn't do any harm. Magic with caldrons and chants are just something lonely people do, because nothing magical ever happens, only in their minds.

  19. aren't prayers a type of spell aswell

  20. Start reading :"The Way of W y r d" and A r s l a n...

Please refrain from using G.o.d.(= dog backward)

IT is and always shall be:

    {{{That-which-cannot -be-named}}}

    )o(

  21. Magic and witchcraft have nothing to do with Christianity. Neither of them is an opposing faith. They are practices. Witchcraft (the Craft of the Wise) can encompass many different fields of study. Learning about herbs and how they can be used to ease pain and suffering isn't a bad thing. Learning to "tune-in" and listen to nature's song while respecting the earth is not a sin. Follow your heart and your good sense. I'm not Christian but I'm sure anything you are learning to either help people or the planet you live on will be pleasing in the eyes of your God.

  22. If you want to study magic for to educate yourself, then i can't see God having a problem with that, ask for His guidance.

However,if you want to start practicing,DON'T.I used to practice talismanic magick, and the powers of the occult are real, but the POWER of God is even stronger.

There are no grey areas in-between.

    It's either black or white.

"Those who are not with me are against me."

I became a Christian nearly 20 years ago and i couldn't believe the blackness, not darkness, but BLACKNESS in my soul from the years of dabbling and i would advise anyone wanting to not to either. It's not just harmless fun,it's not "enlightenment", and regardless of whether you may have "pure intentions",anything that wants to take you and keep off the path of God can't have anything but bad intentions.

  23. Depends on the Christian that you ask because there are many varied beliefs and interpretations in Christianity.

Many Christians will tell you that it is against God.  However, some, particularly Christian Witches do not believe it is against God.
