  1. Magnetism itself is a natural phenomenon between metals and magnetic substances due to the polar attraction of their molecules....Its like if you hold to positive ends of the magnets close to one another they repel eachother because a magnet wants positive on negative, not positive on positive or vice versa.  Opposites attract....

the magnetic field on Earth is caused by the liquid iron outer core of the planet and the solid nickle core inside the core.  The liquid iron core that is constantly spinning and moving is the reason we have a magnetic field on Earth.

  2. Poles repel each other because of the particles that make the magnetic field, in fact the direction of the movement of these particles.

    hope this helps

  3. Everything around you is made up of tiny particles. One of those particles is the electron.  These electrons are so tiny, that you can't see them without the most powerful of microscopes. As the name might suggest, electrons have an electrical charge. And whenever electricity moves, a magnetic field is created.

In most things, the electrons send their magnetic pull in different directions. If you're pulling on something from all different directions, it's not going to move.

In metals that are magnetic, the electrons are all facing the same way. So when they all pull in the same direction, things will move! Whether two different magnetic objects will attract or repel one another depends on the orientation of the electrons' pull in the two magnetic objects.
