Why is marijuana not concidered an endangered species?

the endangered species act covers plant so why not marijuana. the government has made it so that it no longer grows in the wild. so shouldn't it be protected or regrown

if you mean the hemp plant it is grown in almost every country for use in paper,clothe,material,rope and so on there are piles of commercial farms right here in Ontario.Remember the hemp plant is the Marijuana plant

Ha, good question.  If you want to make sure an animal never becomes extinct, just eat it.  We will never run out of cows or chickens or pigs, as long as people serve them for dinner.  If you can make money on it, people will grow it.  Of course, it would have to be legal first.  

The real answer to your question is because it's a weed.  And, how do you know that it's no longer in the wild?  I'm sure it grows somewhere.

Uh first of all marijuana kills people and its addictive.  So marijuana is actually endangering peoples lives.

I don't know where you are getting your info, but marijuana is very easy to reproduce and grow, according to my masters degree farmer pal in upstate New York!  Marijuana is not considered endangered because so many people want it around, and you should see my friend's garden how it grows but he has license to smoke and grow it!  Now you can move here to California and check out all the places that sell it by the pounds to anyone with a doctor's prescript and I can assure you it doesn't need to be on ANY endangered species list, but you must live somewhere, in some state that is trying to erradicate it from it's soil, but marijuana DOES grow in the wild's of Glendale CA!
