Why is mccain going negative?

I used to respect him but now the same words he is using against obama reflect what kind of person he is. Mccain would rather lose war than win election.

Exp: When Obama stated that keep your tires inflated can help save you gas and money, McCain the smartass released into the public tire gages that said on them "Obama's Energy Plan". On the bright side a free tire gage.. lol

I know that Obama had more to his plan then just "Inflating Tires" >.> I was just saying, it is an example that McCain was trying to ridicule him by saying that that was his one and only idea.

Its a good strategy from Obama since many people don't know him and really have no reason to vote for him other than they've heard so much about his historic rise from poverty to become a black democratic presidential canidate.

He had been lagging in many areas to Obama that his staff decided the only way to win was to go negative.  Odd that he couldn't wait for the 527s to do their job, but I guess if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself.

I understand that negative stuff is really bad.  I used to be an Obama supporter until I found out about his past associates and discovered who he considers as being his mentor.  That simply ended up turning me off.  We'll just cancel each other out, k?

Well personally I don't think there should be any war at all. And if you haven't noticed, McCain has been using the "taunting" tactic from the very beginning. He's feeling threatened so he's turning to less than reasonable tactics.

Unfortunately, because it works.   It's the "crowd mentality".   Most people will believe something negative written *about* someone, rather than believe what is right in front of their eyes.    Instead of unveiling the master plan to revitalize the USA, Mr McCain unvelied a childish negative ad comparing Obama to a pop singer.    it was a complete waste of our time, money, and showed exactly what we'll get if he becomes president.
