Why is my 12W3v2 making a vibrating noise?

Could have a peice of coil broken behind the dust cap. Or there could be something irregular banging up against the sub from behind, but chances are, its blown.

..............So basically my only option (considering the sub is blown) is to find another 12 inch 8 ohm sub?

the vibrating noise is not due to blown voice coil...

things to look in

- you may be overpowring the sub

-sub box may not be properly sealed or not made properly

-you may be giving distorted power to it(check gains)

if the coil is blown the sub won't play at all..so check those mentioned things you'll be happy
