Is it common for lil ones to fuss when you lay then down for a nap or when you put them down for bed?

He never used to do it cuz i always layed him on his back with a pillow, but now that he can roll over i have taken his pillow away from him cuz i dont want him to smother himself... and now that he dont have pillows he fusses a lil before he goes to sleep..... if you have any tricks to making this easier, i always feel so bad when he fusses.....

thanks in advance...

  1. Im not sure exactly why. But I do know that a little chamomile tea might sooth the baby.

  2. Babies don't need pillows ever!

If you never used one you wouldn't have a problem!

You just have to tough it out a bit until he gets used to not having a pillow.

Try using the bedtime bath before you put him down, it makes my kids fall right to sleep!

  3. if your son is used to the levitation of the pillow and all of a sudden you take it away of course he is going to find it strange try putting it under his mattress, it will give him the levitation that he is used to and hopefully stop fussing.

    Good luck xx

  4. try stroking his forehead.  always worked with mine.

over the forehead, down the nose, maybe a soft lullaby, too.

    good luck!

  5. one of my mom's friends child is just like your baby except he's 3yrs old. he always used 2 fuss on the bed, if yur baby is still on your bed, i would i buy a crib for him, it really helped my mom's friend. wenever he cries, just let him be; i know its hard, but the pediatrician recommended that 2 my mom's friend. the baby also may still be hungry, wich'll make him fussy, and he could be getting new teeth, u never know....... DONT EVER GIVE YUR CHILD PILLOWS.... hes just used to the pillow, and he expects it 2 b ther, and wen its not ther, he'll get fussy, but just keep the pillow away from him and he'll probably stop fussing wen he realizes that he won't get the pillow

GOOD LUCK... btw u could ask yur pediatrician for tips...... he/shee could probably  help  somehow
