  1. Apex isn't really the "best" Player if you know what I mean. The Lens of the DVD Player is on a track so it can slide to read your DVD from the inside to the outside. Your track may need to be greased or/and the DvD Player may be spinning your DVD unevenly. The first is an easy fix. Take the top off and grease the track. The second requires real REPAIR costing more then the player itself I'm sure.

  2. its probably broken.ddddddddddddduuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh

  3. Unless your DVD player is sleeping or trying to say "duuuuuh," then I don't know what's up.

Does it power up?  Does it read and play discs?

And adding to my comment, I agree with another poster here; Apex DVD players weren't any good.  The only reason they were popular was because they were cheap and some older models had a secret menu disabling region coding and Macrovision.

Generally, if your Apex is crapping out, replace it.  Preferrably, get a new player from a name brand, such as Sony.  Or, if you want the best performance DVD is capable of but at the lowest cost: Oppo Digital.

  4. I think Apex where one of the first player to be able to play MP3's burned onto a disc.  But Apex was never really one of those reputable brands,  so you probably want to do yourself a favor and invest in a respectable brand like Panasonic, Sony, Toshiba, etc.
