  1. If you think there may be something wrong with your pet I suggest seeing the vet besides if you just got a baby ferret she will need to see the vet anyways for a checkup and to get her second set of booster shots for distemper at age 11 weeks then again at 14 weeks. After that you then have to come back after 2 or 3 weeks to get her rabies vaccine. It is recommended that you wait and do this separate from the distemper vaccine.

  2. Without any further information it's hard for anyone to tell what it is. When ever you are unsure about your pets health it's best to consult with a veterinarian.

That being said if one of my ferrets had something on their foot I would first take a cotton swab and clean the area with either Hydrogen Peroxide or Tea Tree Oil. Rubbing Alcohol will work as well but I don't recommend it as you are unsure if it's an open wound and alcohol will hurt a lot. Hydrogen peroxide and tea tree oil are both safe to apply to the skin and if you gently wipe or pat the area you will be able to see if it's something stuck to the foot pad or if it's a growth that should be checked out.

    Good luck!

  3. Calouses are normal- they develope to protect the feet.
