Why is my battery is expanding???

my battery is expanding whenever i charge my phone. i don't know what causes it???? It is the charger causing the problem????

Batteries expand due to heat. Overcharging a battery will cause it to heat and expand.  Generally you should wait until your battery needs to be charged to charge it and then do so for only the recommended time.

( Charging your battery whenever it's convenient is good for the economy because you'll have to buy a new one. )
