Why is my bf is of 3 years playing mind games now?

So i'm going out with a guy who lives near my college. During summers, i'm at home (400 miles away). Over the summer, he says he misses me, loves me and i mean the world to him. Even refers to me as his wife. Today, i see his status online "Wish i could wake up to the girl of my dreams" I ask him who's the girl and after hrs of ignoring my IM, he calls and asks me how i do know it's not me? I ask if I am and he says maybe. Then he goes on to ask, "What if i met the girl the of my dreams and wanted to be with her? What if I'm with her already and you're just a side chick?" I told him to stop playing mind games with me but he says no, its too fun

After being together for 3 yrs, do u think he's serious or just messing with me? He's 21 and I'm 20 by the way, if that helps
