Why is my bike dying

yesterday i was trying to go top speed in my ninja 250r (lol) just to see what it can do. well after i hit 95 which is all it was about to go, as soon as i pull in the clutch it dies. what gives?

  1. Could be a rev limiter. It limits top RPMs and at 95 you are probably pretty close to max.


  2. Dies as in shuts off? The RPMs should dive and speed reduce but it shouldn't be cutting off. It wouldn't be an idle problem because you'd have trouble keeping it started while warming it up.

    If it's new I'd take it back for warrantee service. If not call up a local repair shop and see what they say.
