Why is my birthmark swollen?

Hi all,

15 year old female that's had a birthmark on my right leg. The day before yesterday it swelled up and feels wet when I touch it. It kinda ballooned up. It looks like I've picked at it but I haven't. Any idea what it is? There's a walk in clinic I can go to in an hour and a half, should I just to be safe?

Yes, go to the clinic for sure. It is probably nothing, but when birthmarks all of a sudden change size, shape or color it could mean skin cancer. Good luck to you
