Question:

Why is my budgie acting more agressive to me ..?

about 4 days ago i put her in a breeding cage with the male. she is now very fond of the nesting box but hasnt begun to make it into a nest in it yet. i don't know why but she is not wanting to be taken out of the cage any more. whats up with her..?

please help --

  1. when birds mate or want to mate their hormones go wild, they get really distant and dont want people around, they just want to make babies, this wont last forever tho, when the breeding season is over and they raised a clutch or two she will come right back and adore you again lol    goodluck  and check out http://www.parrotcentral.net/parakeets.h... for good budgie info


  2. Hi, you've just recv'd a few really good answ. While the female may have become more aggressive the male budge will often become more friendly if you work with him. The male will spend the next few weeks outside of the nesting box taking care of his new family ie.  protecting and feeding.
