Question:

Why is my budgie acting more agressive toward me?

about 5 days ago i put her in a breeding cage with the male. she is now very fond of the nesting box but hasnt begun to make it into a nest in it yet. i don't know why but she is not wanting to be taken out of the cage any more. whats up with her..?

please help --

  1. she is being protective of her nesting box and wants to concentrate more on the breeding.  budgies dont make nests. add wood shavings into the nestbox  she will remove them but that is also nesting behaviour.


  2. if you've found her a mate, sorry to say but, you've already guiven her up as a pet. female bugies tend to become untame througout breeding and will never be the same. they loose all training and if they talked before, that will be no more. agressiveness will happen more and more often, dont disturb them, it may affect the way she lais her eggs and how she treats the young. im sorry.
