Why is my car missing?

i put new wires,plugs,ignition and distributer cap on.It's a 427bb if that helps.Thanks and happy labor day.

  1. thomas asked a good question there. did you get the plug wires mixed up and threw the firing order off.

    I am unclear what "ignition" means in this context. Did you replace the rotor? Is this still the point type ignition or has it been upgraded to an HEI at some point?

    If you still have the point type ignition you have very weak spark so any cylinder that is a bit oily because of age will misfire, if you have an HEI this will not happen.

    Other than that I would check you wire very close for firing order (1,8,4,3,6,5,7,2) and verify that the wires are plugged in all the way at both ends.
