Question:

Why is my cat's hair turning white?

My wife and I adopted a kitten at about 6 weeks old. He was an all black, medium hair domestic. He's about 3 months old now, and his hair has been turning white in small areas and spreading. It started around his groin area (which is now close to paper white) and base of the tail, but has spread across his stomach and going up his sides (mostly grayish white). Is this a normal change for a kitten his age, or is something going on that I can't explain? Thanks!
