My 4 yr old male bobtail kitty started spinning around in a circle, continuously meeowing, and shaking. Moving around the kitchen floor while still going the circle. Wild eyes. I grabbed him and held him and he seems okay. Called the vet and they said definetly not a siezure. Anyone have any idea why my kitty is acting this way?

  1. Sorry, don't believe you called a vet, they don't make diagnosis over the phone. Make an appt and see the vet for real!

  2. I'm very shocked to hear that you vet didn't say to bring him in right away. That is definitely what I would have instructed a client that called my office with those symptoms to do. I would say it surely does sound like some sort of seizure or inner ear imbalance or even a poisoning of some kind. Take you cat to the vet! Perhaps one other than the one you called.

  3. He might be bored and trying to make a game. get some toys from pet smart like a plasic ball with a bell in it or a mouse with cat nip in it.

My cat was bored and always seemed to run around the living room. then we got him some toys then he seemed fine

  4. My daughters cat began acting this way and the vet diagnosed mini-strokes. Your cat seems young for a stroke, but needs to be seen by a qualified vet.
