Why is my cat biting me?

My male cat has gotten more aggressive with biting. He doesn't break the skin, but he bites me when I move him from a spot he is lying on, etc. I have told him no loudly and even swatted him but he continues to bite. It is not all the time and usually in the bedroom before I go to bed at night.

  1. playing - my cat does it all the time. He's not trying to be mean

  2. he wants to play does he have another fellow cat to play with or do you play with him? if he isnt breaking the skin he just wants attention

  3. there could be a few reasonss:

    • territoriall

    • playingg

    • wants to sleep and feels like ur interferingg

    • just in a bad mood from being tiredd

    hope i helpp :)

  4. well if it is a kitten it is teething, but if it is an adult it might want to play, want attetion. Dose it all ways do that?

  5. it's a cat and u woke him up and bug him!!!!

my cats bite but they r playing

    DUH!!

    get a brain

  6. He sounds like an a*****e. Scruff him (grab the loose skin on the back on his neck and hold) if you want to show dominance. Might sound stupid but so is taking grief from your cat.

  7. you're fishy

  8. If he's happy on the spot where he's lying, he may be letting you know that he's irritated that you're moving him.  Whatever you do, don't physically punish him.  That will just cause him to resent you, which could actually cause him to become more aggressive.  The best solution is to just leave him alone when he seems happy and comfortable where he is (unless it's someplace dangerous, of course).
