She's also drinking toilet water instead of the cold fresh water i give her. She also has a bunch of bump like things around her body.

  1. Drooling can mean lots of things like bad teeth or sores in her mouth. If she has bumps and lumps too you should get her to your vet. As for drinking out of the toilet the best solution is to keep the lid closed.

  2. Cats often drool if they lose a tooth, most of the time its not a big deal. You can try one of those water bowls that has a pump makes the water circulate (that sometimes helps with cats who drink out of the toilet). The bumps are a problems though, that I would recommend having the vet look at. Good luck.

  3. My cat started drooling because she was having problems with her teeth, take him/her to the vet to get checheck up and teeth cleaning

  4. bump like things=VET TIME!! cats prefer 'dirty' water to fresh as it tastes nicer to them-our cat drinks the most horrible looking stagnant water in the garden

  5. Drooling:- this could mean she is happy.. Although it could mean the total oppostite, with tooth problems! Take her to the vets to make sure, she that doesn't have any teeth problems:).

  6. How old is your cat? Does she go outdoors?

It sounds like she has a dental/gum problem - an infection, broken tooth, stray bit of glass/wire/plastic that created a wound...any of these things can cause abcesses or sore gums. Since you say she is drinking the warmer toilet water, (as it would be easier on a sensitive mouth than cold water), this could be the case.

Those bumps around her body could be tumors, which may be a sign of a malignancy/infection that has spread and is making it difficult for her to eat/drink the way she has normally.

Take her to a vet immediately! Whatever the case, you don't want to wait to treat whatever may be bothering her!

P.S. regarding NancyS's answer: DON'T close the toilet lid to prevent her from drinking until you see a vet and  KNOW that any problem she's suffering from is treated and she will go back to drinking her bowl water!

  7. My cat drools too, but only when I scratch his chin. If you are concerned, you can just take her to the vet--better safe than sorry.

  8. kitty really needs to get to the vets. if money is the issue, when you call your vet, let them know up front, they may take posted dated checks. Your kitty is worth it!
