  1. call your vet and tell them the symptoms RIGHT NOW!! that is the best thing you could do.if he doesn't have a vet find one in your area and call. tell them everything!! If you make an appointment and it isn't for a little while go buy him some kitten chow and see if that makes him gain some weight but he really really needs to go to the vet. there are a number of things it could be but make sure your vet knows these things when you call: age, symptoms, how long it has been going on,s*x,if he is indoor or outdoor cat, if he is an indoor cat did he slip out at all,and if he is normally a healthy cat (like other health problems if any)

  2. could be any number of things like, feline leukemia, parasites, thyroid disease, or diabetes. Please take your kitty to your vet for a full work up. 7 is not very old for a cat and rapid weight loss in a cat of that age means that something is wrong.

  3. I don't know exactly what is wrong with him, but this is serious! If you love your cat, take him to a vet ASAP! This could be Feline Leukemia, kidney failure, cancer, or a number of other diseases. Please, please take him to a vet!

  4. You need to take him to the vet as soon as possible. There are any number of diseases it could be one other reader suggested FLV or it could be diabetes or even kidney failure. Your best bet is the vet Good Luck

  5. maybe he has a parasite, it happens to a lot of animals, unless they have had all their proper shots

  6. Have him checked for feline lukemia right away!

  7. It might be his thyroid, get him checked by a vet immediately. I would assume they will do blood work. Please have this checked out as if you don't have a thyroid taken care of (medically treated or surgically removed) his organs will start to shut down. Since he is so young I would assume your vet will advise you to have the thyroid surgically removed: trust me, if my cat had been younger I would have done this for her. The medication can make them really sick off and on, it's sad to watch. If it's not the thyroid it sounds like something is seriously wrong, perhaps cancer of some sort. Get him in ASAP, don't let his health continue to decline.

  8. Take him to the vet ASAP! This sounds like an emergency!
