Why is my cat hiding after giving birth?

she just gave birth and every time i open any door she hides and does not want to come out.

Maybe she's sad that you let her add to the pet overpopulation.

There is a possiblity she fears you for the sake of her new babies. Maybe she thinks bad will come to them if a human is around. Another reason may be that she isn't hiding actually, she is just making sure her babies are hidden and she is going to them. I say that because we had a cat once who hid her babies behind a chair in the corner of our busy livingroom. Whenever someone walked into the room, she hid behind the chair

If this is not what's going on with your cat, you may want to take her to the vet to make sure nothing happened to her while giving birth. We have to do the speaking for them.
