Question:

Why is my cat hiding in the bathroom? ?

My cat usually sleeps on my bed or in my room at night and the last few nights she hasn't been coming into my room. When I woke up this morning I find her in the bathroom behind the toilet. This is unusual for her because she hates the bathroom. She normally won't even go near it because she associates that with a bath.

  1. I agree with the other people, she's probably just hot. Or maybe she was just in the mood to sleep on a hard surface. My cat always sleeps on the tile floor instead of with my boyfriend and me. When my cat, Oscar, was younger, he would wedge himself behind tables, dressers or anything close to the wall. I thought there was no way it could be comfortable, but he always did it. Maybe it's a security thing, and your cat just wants to feel all tucked in and alone.

  2. maybe she's hot? my cats go there during the summer, its a lot cooler.

  3. The floor is cool to your cat I have one at that sleeps in the bathtub and the other in the shower, occasionally Pooki sleeps in the wash basin.
