Question:

Why is my cat so hungry?

My cat who I have had for ten years (he is also ten years old) has recently, as in, in the last two or three weeks, started to beg a lot more. His constant crying is always annoying everyone in the house, but now I am starting to think there must be another reason.

To begin with I thought it was our other cat, who is one, stealing his food. Since then I have made sure Misty (the older cat) always has his two daily wet food meals. Dry food is available to him throughout the day.

I wonder if this is worms...? Do I just buy worming tablets or take him to the vet?

  1. My cat is nearly 16 i have noticed as he got older he did want more food, he likes more rich food like tuna and chicken. He just found it more filling.

You better go to your vet and have him check up. Its good to make sure she is healthy.

I hope everything is ok, im sure its nothing

  2. Hello. I think you should take him to the vet and see what they think. Tell them what happens to your cat and see if she has worms or not. I hope I helped!

  3. Yeah normally when my cat gets like this it  means its time to worm her and every time this she has gone back to normal she just turned 3 the other day and has 3 pouches a day along with dry food (:

  4. it might not be worms too so better to take to the vet

  5. HEY TO STOP THAT ANNOYING CRYS FOR FOOD JUST DO WHAT I DO. ALWAYS HAVE CAT FOOD IN A BOWL IN THE HOUSE SO THE CAT JUST GO TO EAT.

  6. Take him to the vet where he can receive a proper diagnoses and treatment.  It might be minor, but it's possible it could be more serious.

    Good Luck!

  7. That's the first thing I thought of when I read your question. I would say there is a very good possibility your cat has round worms. Parasites can really change their moods. You might even notice the worms if he vomits or has a wet stool in his litter box, or even not make it to the litter box.

If your cat is a hunter, or hangs around other cats, he can contract the parasites easily. I would take him to the vet. and tell him or her the symptoms. They can give him the de-wormer, which you can also buy over the counter, but this will enable your cat to have a good check-up also.

  8. Just buy the tablets.

  9. Don't buy the worm tablets unless you have confirmed the cat has worms. Take him to the vet. The cat may have hyperthyroidism.

  10. take him to the vet
