I adopted a kitten who is now 11 months old now but she is still so small. She is very healthy, playful, and loving. Yet, I worry about her because she is so little. She is nowhere near the size of my other cat.

  1. Some cats are just smaller than others : ) I have some large 12 lb cats and one small 6 lb cat and all are perfectly healthy!!

  2. Your new cat is probably a different breed of cat. You should give her some time to grow and if she is still small then it is probably just her breed.

    Good luck!

  3. Give it time, She will grow big!

  4. Some cats are just petite. Just like people, they can be different sizes, colors, etc. She is probably close to her adult size and when you get her spayed she will probably pick up a little more weight.

  5. LOL that is like my cat she is 3 and looks like she is 6 months old. it is called the runt of the litter.

  6. She might be having a growth stunt or maybe it's just in her genes.  Her mom and brothers and sister might be small too.  Good luck with your tiny cat :) I'm sure she will be just fine.  You could also try changing her diet to help her grow faster.  Science Diet would be best.  good luck!

  7. Different cats have different builds just like people do.  She may just be a small cat.

  8. Just like people, animals come in all shapes, sizes and colors!.  Love her as she is.  Chances are she's still growing and if not, she's just petite!

  9. I have 2 cats and they are sisters and ones about twice as big as the other.  just always has been, the little one is just a very small cat.  Shes lovely!

  10. well if she seems happy and loving, she is probably fine

  11. Cats, like people, come in different shapes and sizes. My older cat is the tiniest thing you've ever seen. She's probably only 5-6 pounds and even at her old age still gets mistaken for a kitten. Whereas my younger cat started out the tiniest little kitten and now is the hugest cat with the biggest Buddha belly you have ever seen. She's probably 12 pounds if not more. As long as she doesn't have an parasites or anything, I don't think it's a problem. She's just a small kitty.

  12. She is just a small cat.  She may have been the runt.  My female cat is 8 yrs. & she is tiny, my male cat is about 3X her size.  She will be fine, have you had her spayed?  Smaller cats will usually live longer than over weight cats & less health problems.  My kitty is really lean but a bad a**  lol
