  1. give him soft foods like bread

  2. Sounds like it may be allergies. Have you given him anything different in the last few days? Maybe he got into something outside? What about around your house....have you used anything different?  Air freshener, carpet cleaner/freshener, floor cleaner, candles, etc?  What about house plants? There are some plants cats are allergic to, and some can even kill them! See if he has been eating on anything in your house, or maybe someone is giving him table food? Write down anything that may be the culprit around the house and outside, and take him to the vet. He needs to be see! GL!

  3. go with her to a doctor

  4. The food doesn't appear to be agreeing with his stomach, try him on a different food and check that the age group is correct on it. If his sickness still persists take him to the vet.

Alternatively make sure he doesn't eat his food to quickly and make sure he doesn't charge around straight after eating, cats can be just like us you know!

Also somebody else may be feeding him when he goes outside, this can happen especially if your cat has no collar, (like mine). In which case, try and keep him in for at least 5 mins after he finishes his food to stop him from over-eating.

  5. Hi Ella,

A cat that throws up several hours after eating generally is not the result of eating too fast, so that is probably not the issue here.

You may not like what I have to say, and I know that it seems to be somewhat controversial in this community, but dry food is really made for the convenience of humans, not for the nutritional needs of felines. While the dry food manufacturers claim that their products are nutritionally great, dry food is really difficult to digest, contains too many carbs, which cats do not need. Cats are obligate carnivores and need meat!

It is possible your cat may be allergic to the food, or that something else is going on medically that needs to be checked out by a vet. Cats do vomit occassionally, but a cat that is vomiting on a regular basis, needs to be checked out. That is not normal.

I have an Oriental Shorthair, aged 8 years-old, that started vomiting on a regular basis, several hours after eating his moist food. We stopped all dry food in our house a long time ago. Turns out that my cat has an allergy- based irritable bowel problem, which I would not have known about unless I had had him evaluated by a vet. He too was playing and appeared to be fine, but vomiting was a major issue. This can lead to dehydration, and is very stressful for our cats. Imagine yourself vomiting after a couple of hours after you eat!

The yellowish color is from bile which shows partially digested food.

Here are some good things to read about why cats vomit.

Hope this helps and good luck with your kitty. Hope there is a simple solution. Once my cat was diagnosed and treated, he is no longer vomiting, which is a huge relief. We are feeding him Venison and Peas, made by Natural Balance. He loves it, and it loves him, apparently:)

  6. you need to start weaning him off the kitten food by mixing it in with regular food little by little each day.

  7. you might wanna take him to the vet.

Make sure your feeding him kitten food. and you should be giving him canned food along with the dry food. Make sure the canned food is for kittens too. Cats typically need to stay on kitten food for up to a year old because they need the extra fat in it to develop.

Also, make sure he's not getting into someting else that is making him sick. If it's a few hours after feeding he may be getting hungry and looking for other things to munch on. Don't let him eat people food and if you have house plants you may wanna check to make sure they aren't poisonous to cats. http://www.peteducation.com/category_sum...
