Why is my clutch grinding when released in a strain?

04yfz450makes a grinding noise when clutch is released just installed new clutches no slippage just the noise and a little vibration was doing this before i put the new ones in.What could this be?

  1. Did you install them right? Are they the right clutch plates installed?  


  2. Does the grinding noise stop after the bike warms up? Try squeezing the clutch a few times before you take off. I had a Vulcan 750 that did the same thing and the noise stopped after the bike had warmed up. Possible cause, oil hasn't circulated through clutch properly until warmed up.
