Question:

Why is my computer gaming slow?

What I want to know is, even when I play old simple games like GTA San Andreas, it lags, and the graphics aren't that great. Is it because of my video card. That's all my friend says it is. MY ram is 1.25 GB. Is that all that matters? If not, what do I do, and how do I do it?

THAX.

  3. Are you using a laptop?  If so that is your problem.  Most laptops come with lower powered graphics chips installed on them because they use so much power.  The lower powered graphics chips will not compete with the bigger more powerful cards used in desktop computers.  I would guess you have 2gigs of ram in your laptop and you have about 64mb dedicated of that 2gigs to your graphics card.

If you are using a laptop and I am correct, then about the only thing you can do is buy a 3gig kit of ram and dedicate as much to grahics in the bios as it will allow you to dedicate, sometimes it can be changed to as much as 256mb dedicated to video...  That will speed up and help your graphics power out in games and such...  Other than that you are stuck with the graphics chip you have as you cannot change the graphics chip in a laptop without unsoldering and soldering another chip to the motherboard...

  4. as the above answer...

may be you have not got a good graphic card (VGA)..

it should be 256MB least to run good games.

Processor. 3.0 GHz .... will be good.

RAM.. (random access memory)it should be least 1 GB. or more.

then your computer is good for any game ...

    enjoy....

  5. It is probably your graphics card that isnt too strong, your RAM is enough to run GTA:SA. Your processer may also be slow.

  6. Using a registry cleaner can clean up your computer and then make your computer faster,Why?the reason is that there may be some registry errors and remnant, corrupt files and temp files in your computer to cause "computer slow".

Every time you install and uninstall software on your computer and surfing online you create junk in the computer registry.over time, the registry can grow to enormous proportions, especially if the various programs you've installed do not do a good job of deleting and/or updating it's Registry entries. You need to scan and clean your computer with registry cleaner to make it fast.Good Registry Cleaner will improve your computer and Internet performance dramatically!
