  1. You probably need to disconnect and then reconnect to the router. It is probably just having trouble updating status. I'de recommend using windows built in utility rather than the wireless adapters software if it has any.

  2. Do you have a hard wired connection AND wireless on the same machine?

If you do, then one of them is connected and the other is not.

  3. Its a glitch.....

    Go to

    Start button

    Then

    Connect to

    Then

    Show all connections

    Then pick the connection

    Choose "Disable"

    Then

    Choose "Enable"

    This resets the connection.

The glitch appears when you start windows and then plug the modem in at a certain time.....

  4. Have you networked to anything else? Have you connected it to another computer or other piece of hardware at all by bluetooth, firewire or ethernet? It will say that for any kind of connection, not just the internet. So you are already connected to your home network, but it is looking for something else it has been connected to. Look bottom right of the screen for little monitors with X on them. Click them to see what they are. Or, you can go to start > connect to > and you will see them there.
