I have a two year old, she has started a rather odd habit. Every time she starts to relax, she crosses her legs and grunts???? I am not too sure what is causing this, I have an appointment for her tomorrow but I am concerned, wanted some other thoughts.... ???

  1. Is it a grunt as if she is not getting enough air?

Is it a grunt as if she is just trying to be funny?

Maybe she is imitating an adult?

  2. My 11 month old grunts a lot also.  When watching tv, or playing or in her car seat.  I thought she just liked the noise but I didn't think she would be doing it until she is two.  Hope everything is okay!

  3. Maybe she's trying to p**p. My niece stands up and makes a strained face and grabs her crotch when shes constipated. Idk, just ask the doctor.

  4. The grunting thing could be an OCD thing. She might have a compulsion to keep making the grunting noise. It wouldn't be the first time I've heard of people with OCD grunting.

Maybe she's crossing her legs because she sees you do it and wants to be a big girl?

  5. It's either one of these options:

    1, she has terrets.

2, she is constipated, and needs some exlax.
