If it's a female she is probably in heat, in order to stop her from going into heat you may want to get her neutered.

First of all is your dog female?  Second of all has she been spayed?  If you answer yes and then no then chances are your dog is in heat.  This will last 21 days, the bleeding lasts for most of that time.  Do not allow her outside near an unfixed male unless you want puppies.

If your dog is a male, then look to see if he's cut himself

if its a girl, she is in heat so keep her away from males. if its a boy or a female who is spayed then take them to the vet for x-rays. It could be internal bleeding.

But if its a girl then she is in heat and it will last approx. 2 weeks. Don't let her near males because she will get pregnant.

If it`s a *****, it is on heat. Keep away from male dogs and put oil of citronella on it`s hindquarters when out to shield the smell.
