  1. The hose that is hooked to the lint filter (the one that vents outside) may be clogged at the outside opening. Or your heating element may be going bad.

  2. The heating element might be crapping out on you, or the exhaust vent might be clogged, or something else- Good luck

  3. Could be a few things.... How wet were they when you put them in? Sometimes my washer doesn't spin all the way, and they are soaking wet. So it's the washer, not the dryer.

How heavy are the clothes? Jeans and towels can take over an hour, or even 2 hours....  (if they are my husbands! He is tall!)

How full is it? If you stuff it full, it won't work. If it's not full enough, the small items just go around and not through the middle where the heat is coming from. Putting a tennis ball in will help!

Is it a huge blanket/comforter? They will wrap around and roll up, and the middle will be wet. Putting tennis balls in helps! It sounds weird, but I actually tried it a few weeks ago. I've heard of it for years, but never believed it. I saw tennis balls at Petsmart for 99 cents, so I bought 2 and tried it!

Of course, half this stuff you probably already know, but I want to make sure I got everything!

Oh, try to unhook the exhaust thing and turn it on with the window open. I lived in an apartment once that had the exhaust pipe clogged so bad, but the maintenance would never come and fix it! The only way I could get it to work was by letting the air (and some lint) come straight out into the room. Nice in the winter time! :)

  4. Did you check the lint trap in and around and even under. Also where the air goes out through the back it sometimes gets stopped up.I had that problem.I actually used my vacuum on mine and they have people that can clean the little chimneys that lead out but I did it my self.I also vacuumed under the lent trap there was quite a bit of stuff in there I now maintain it regularly.Good luck.

  5. Maybe you're overloading it?? Or maybe you're not changing the lint catcher often enough? Also be sure not to put "balled-up" wet clothes in the dryer. Shake out all the folds and wrinkles, it helps to dry the clothes faster.

It could also be that you just need a new dryer.

  6. Try washing your lint screen with soap and water using a soft brush. if you use dryer sheets they build up a film.

Does it get warm ? if not the heating element could be bad.

The vent could be stopped up pull the unit out from the wall , disconect the hose and shake it out (outside of course) look inside the dryer vent (unplug the electric so it wont power up by mistake) remove any lint , look inside the vent in the wall and remove any lint. hook everything up and try it .
