Why is my electric doing this?

The electrisc in my whole house has been surging for about two days now. This is the first time for this. I will run the dishwasher and the lights will dim drastically. Or run a hair dryer and the same. I'm not running everything at the same time. But I have lived in this house for 3 years and never had this problem. I usually can run all my appliances at the same time and never a problem like this. Would anyone know why now this is happening?

  1. Your house has lost the ground from the electric company. Call them . Now. or your appliances will burn out.I had this problem, I know what it will do.

  2. Some s*x toys that come with rechargeable batteries can be dangerous to the circuitry of your house. The recharger on such devices have contributed to numerous blackouts and house fires.

I would stick to using an electric toothbrush for self-stimulation. They're cheap and work wonders.

  3. sounds like your breakers are getting old,or you need a larger amp

  4. This is my theory;  The voltage being delivered from your provider is being consumed, (by neighborhood), at high volumes.  That would leave a lower voltage at your electrical panel.  The panel will have a lower voltage to divide among all your circuits.

To test theory, get a voltage tester next time you notice lights going dim and plug it into a receptacle.  What is the voltage?
