Why is my face so red?

I went to a dermatologist and they prescribed Retin A Micro. I have been using it for about a month and my face is still very red. How can I fix this?

the product your derm prescribed takes about 4-6 weeks for your face to be "retinized" or used to the product.  this is a normal reaction as per their package insert.  DO NOT use any other products w/ this (only a gentle cleanser such as cetaphil) or the redness will continue for a longer period of time.  your face should be used to the product by 6 weeks.  if the redness bothers you, use the retin a micro on alternating nights.
