Why is my female hamster suddenly so fat?

Just like an hour ago she was skinny and suddenly she is like really fat. it's mostly in her cheek area though. Does she have food in her cheeck pouches? HELP PLEASE!!! :)

If its mostly in her cheeks,then yes it is food and  or her bedding.

They are cute little buggers to watch !

I use to raise them when i was younger - we had a 101 at one time and it always amazed me how they could put so much in there little cheeks.

they will pick up food and there bedding and store it in there cheeks and carry it to a different part of there cage and then empty out there cheeks and put everything in a pile - and if its food - they like to barry it for later

Yeah, they shove food in their faces and leave it there. Pick your hamster up and feel the cheek area.

If it's hard, it's food.

If it's soft, it's bedding.

haha i freaked out the first time i saw my hampster full of food... and yes its just food..

call the vet, and ask, it is the best. Or maybe it ate to much in that following hour.
