Why is my female parakeet nose turning from white to brown?

itz a light brown shez about two yearz old i also have a male parakeet with her

  1. when parakeets molt for the first time (when they mature) there Ceres (nose) turns from (pink-brown) or (purple-blue) depending if they are a female or male. Nothing is wrong. But i do recommend that you separate your birds unless you are a breeder. Because your female and male birds might mate you will be left with babies you have no idea to care for. Like what if they parents don't sit on the eggs or reject the babies, pluck their feathers, wont feed them? Or when the female gives birth and an egg gets stuck (egg binding) then your bird will have less then an hour to get medical attention before she dies. Please separate them now!
