  1. one question is where do you live ...if the answer fall within some of the more drought stricken areas the answer is that it needs more water, regularly.  Answering the feeding, I have found the best method is to add about a 3 inch think area of composted manure in the spring. (Be sure not to have it piling on the trunk) This will will filter nutrients into the soil as water passes through it.  You can supplement with a stake from your local garden center if you like.


  2. They are deciduous.  Is it getting to be fall where you live?

  3. I think you have put water during a sunny day of hot weather, you should put water for trees only morning before sunrise and eavening

    Young fig tees should be watered regularly until fully established. In dry western climates, water mature trees deeply at least every one or two weeks. Desert gardeners may have to water more frequently. Mulch the soil around the trees to conserve moisture. If a tree is not getting enough water, the leaves will turn yellow and drop. Also, drought-stressed trees will not produce fruit and are more susceptible to nematode damage. Recently planted trees are particularly susceptible to water deficits, often runt out, and die.
