Why is my fridge stop cooling.?

My fridge stop cooling and the freezer is freezing everything. What can be wrong with it.

  1. the evaporator fan motor may be defective


  2. She's froze up.Empty it,unplug it,leave the doors open for a DAY.Plug her back in and you'll be back in business.

    Edit If it did it once it will most likely do it again.Could be because your doors are not closing properly and letting moisture in or a faulty defrost module.Good luck.

We had this happen once.  It was b/c the little electric fan went out in the fridge part of our side by side.  The freezer was fine but the fridge got warm.  So we called the place we bought it from and they walked my husband through all the troubleshooting areas and we were able to determine that's what it was.  My husband then fixed it.

  4. Your seal around your fridge must be faulty..   the back of your fridge is cooler than the front... ALSO... if your fridge is packed with food your fridge cannot circulate the cold air properly....
