  1. do you have any over fish if yes he may been attacked but do a water test plz it will say why

  2. There are quite a few disease and infections that can cause this. I'm not terribly familiar with goldfish, so I can't say exactly. Some advanced cases of parasites, like ich or velvet, can cause scale loss.

Usually with parasites, you will see the fish rub itself against the the side or bottom of the tank, to itch itself. You also may be able to see the worms or parasites on the fish's skin.

The best advice is to go to a pet store with a good aquarium section, and start looking at books on fish diseases and at the back of aquarium medication packages. If you can't figure out what your fish has, there are "broad spectrum" medications on the market. They treat a variety of illnesses all at once.

Also, try the link below - it seems to have pictures of many common diseases.

    Best of luck.

  3. ur fish could be really sick. Remove it from the tank if it is coz of the risk of the other fish getting it too.

For the moment put it in a separate bowl with a small bit of salt. (just a pinch)

Go to the pet-shop and get some medicine pour the amount it says into the main tank and into the bowl with the isolated fish if he gets better u can put it back into to main tank

    good luck
