  1. if u let them out for runs alot, they are probably tired - they not bored, just probably exhausted form all that running

  2. Whens its warm weather mine tend to sleep or lie down a lot, sometimes ive even thought they are dead when they are sprawled out! If they are eating and drinking as normal it is unlikely there is anything wrong with them.

  3. Guinea pigs are prey animals... they sleep about 4 hours total in any 24 hour period, in short naps.  It might be that you catch them when they're sleeping!

Also, the recommended temperature for them is between 65 and 75 degrees F.  If it is warmer than that, they may be more inactive to stay a little cooler.

As long as they are eating and drinking fine, and you get lots of presents (aka, poo), they should be fine if they are otherwise acting normal.  Just make sure they eat their cup of veggies a day and have unlimited hay all the time.

If you're worried that they are ill, check for crusties around the eyes and nose.  This is an indicator of an Upper Respiratory Infection and requires immediate veterinary attention.  If you notice hair loss, this may indicate microscopic, painful mange mites or a fungal infection on their skin which also require medical attention.
