Why is my hamster making a clicking sound?

i was just playing with him on the back porch and he started to make little clicking sounds. I think I have heard that it means they are happy in guinea pigs. is it the same for a hamster???

  1. As far as I am aware, this sound in hamsters is a warning sign. He's probably a bit irritated.


  2. it probably doesn't fell safe or comfortable and is acting defensive or you're handling it to much and its irritated

  3. it means that if you pick him up he will probly bite you there is nothing you can do about but leave him alone untill he feels more secure

  4. my hamster always makes clicking sounds, and it's mainly because he's about to bite. it's usually their teeth.
