Why is my hamster squeaking all of the sudden?

Question

this might seem weird, but when i feed my hamster, he just eats the food. but just 5 minutes ago, i gave him lettuce and when he was almost done, he started squeaking. i got scared because i never heard him squeak before and i've had him for about a year and a half. i'm scared that he might be choking or have hiccups. maybe he might be coughing or just squeaking because he wants more lettuce. please tell me why he might be doing that.

He's probably just happy! My hamster does that all the time!

Your hamster is probably just getting attached to you and it's kinda their way of saying so.

If your hamster is acting out-of-character, then it is probably just in pain. If your hamster is acting normal, that is good. If otherwise, take it to a vet!

Lettuce should be a treat, not a daily thing. It could cause diarrhea or wet tail(if you have a syrian). Dwarfs don't get wet tail by the way. But I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Nothing to worry about. My old hamster did it and lasted 3 years. It could mean a couple of things though. You could be holding them too tight, they could be hungry, thirsty or cold. Watch your hamster and see if all of these things are ok.

stop feeding him lettuces!!!!!!!!!!!! wait if its iceberge lettuces then stop feeding it to him because it is made up mostly of water and can give him diarrheaa but if its something like kale then you should listen to what the first answer says!

give him a little more well actuly i gave my hamster lettuce and he loved it or maybe hes choking nooo hes not.
