I have Verizon Fios, its suppose to be good from what I hear. I have had it for over a year now. But I got a new computer with a wireless modem that's hooked up to our main computer that has a Netgear wireless router.

I've done the registry cleaning with little improvement. But my internet is insanely slow. Is there anything else I can do to make my internet faster?

if it help's I have a Dell inspiron 5315 slim. Thanks.

  1. you may not have enough RAM

you should also use mozilla firefox if you dont already have

  2. For running slow there are many causes:

Microsoft Registry Problems = Slow Computer!

    Spyware/Adware

    RAM

    Etc.

Below can help you speed up your pc:

    De-Fragmenting

    1. Right click of C Disk.

    2. Click properties.

    3. Click tools tab.

    4. Click "Defragment now".

    5. Click Defragment.

You can search which process full use you cpu, and end the process.

  3. You probably need to erase all of your browsing history, like the cookies for example. All of that build up can cause your internet to be slooow.

  4. Clear all you internet cache, defragment your HDD. Manage your virtual memory.

For cleaning you can use Ccleaner .... www.ccleaner.com

  5. Turn your pc on then turn it back on.  If that doesnt work delete programs you dont use

  6. Try to isolate the problem. It might be the wireless router. Does it happen to all computers connected to it? Try changing the channel in its settings to like 1 or 11 to avoid interference.

If its not the router, then check your computer. What browser are you using? FireFox has a problem where it uses up 100% sometimes. If you've tried different browsers and have the same speed, check for spyware and viruses.

I guess if you're certain it's not the router or computer, then call Verizon to see if it's a problem on their side. Which I think it's not.

  7. Call your ISP and find out what speed they have you 1.5 or 3.O or 6.0 or now they go as high as 16..but I am a 10 and that is plenty fast for me..ask and you shall find
