Why is my internet sooo slow?

Question

i have adsl 2500/512 and im getting speeds of 30kbits/s?

on my other place i have the same adsl, different modem and it gets upto 150kbits/s??? why is mine so slow?

could it be the modem or the area i live?

maybe its your location or just your service provider

Scan your pc for spyware or virus, it's most common cause for slow net connection or consult your ISP & ask them to clear your bindings from your line also clear all cache. cookies, history from Tools-->Internet option.

there are lot of reasons for slow internet such as speed connection, busy server, using on the peak time, and yes, the area where you live.

Have you cleared your cookies and cache this slows down your computer and Internet speed there is a program used to clear these for you its called atf go too google type atf in first link major geeks any server and you will have the program it is legit if you don't trust it got to virustotal.com and uploaded they will scan it 32 times for any viruses i did and found none so downloaded it and cleared my cache and cookies

if you live in apartment the more people that are on that one megabyte cable comcast says you have is distrubited to every one through a node so if you have 2 people on that node you get half the speed so the more the slower it is

also your router might not be able to transmit that much data i would need to know more but heres my best shot
