  1. how is your network setup are you connecting to a home network? if you are connected directly to the ISP provided modem you will usually get the same IP address as it renews or if your on a static ip meaning thats the IP address you get. if your connected to a network usually depending on what was connected first would have that same IP address or a different one but usally your IP address is on a lease time that would renew istelf automatically. I wouldn't worry if it doesn't change as long as you still have internet service.

  2. type arp -d in command prompt. then type ipconfig /release.

after dat u giv ipconfig /renew

  3. If your IP address is 192.168.x.x  or  10.0.x.x, then they are private addresses allocated usually by router or server. The process is called Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP)

The router may continuously assign the same IP address to your PC and the lease usually expire in 2 days. Try unpluging your PC and pluging it in another ethernet port. The address may change.

  4. If it is working why do you need to renew you ip address. YOu ISp probably has assigned you astatic ip.

  5. you may have a fixed ip address.

instead of one that is constantly changing.

    does it normally renew itself?
