But it was still shows that i am connected to my wireless router in the wireless internet icon on the start menu bar on the bottom...I tried to repair the connection but it showed the same thing and i still could not go to any website/s from internet explorer and also mozilla firefox. also my dad's comp works properly and can connect to the internet but mine can't! please help me...i dont want to reformat my hard drive or anything like that as long as i can help it! PLEASE tell me what i can do to fix this problem!!...

  1. look...u might have a not original version of windows and scanned it with an original version of norton 360....so make sure that it is original...if u found out it is not original....than never think about connectting to the internet with the same windows again because norton sends to microsoft company if your version is not original....this happened to my old computer once...i had to get a new windows

  2. I had a similar problem with Norton Antivirus. I couldn't figure out what was wrong with my internet connection for weeks (it said it was connected, but no pages would load), until my friend disabled Norton for me.

What I would suggest is to go through norton 360's settings, and disable any internet firewall it has. Most likely, its blocking your internet connection because it thinks that there is a threat that actually doesn't exist.

Of course, this will leave you more vulnerable to malware, so what you should do is download a free antivirus program to take the place of norton's internet protection. Avast or Spybot are good free alternatives, along with Adaware.

If you don't happen to find a way to disable norton internet firewal, then I'd suggest completely disabling Norton altogether and using one the alternatives that I mentioned above.

A lot of times, these problems occur because Norton has expired or something similar.

  3. so many possibilities, get a technician and let him address and fix the problem instead of relaying on yahoo answers.
