Why is my lawnmower starting then cutting off?

My lawnmower is a push lawnmower when i pull the string without priming it, it doesn't do nothing. But when i do press prime (3x) it starts then cut off. The more i push the prime the longer it stays on, but it still cuts off.

One of my mowers is like that as well. I just keep restarting it until it warms up a bit and than it runs like it was new. They make a additive for gs that is ment to dissolve gunk from the carb and stuff like that, Might be worth a try.
