Question:

Why is my lining paper peeling away at the seams?

I hung a wall of lining paper about 2 weeks ago. It has dried fine, no bubbles, gaps or anything. I painted it last night and woke this morning to find areas of the seams that were folding back and curling from the wall. Anyone got any ideas why?? I pasted edge to edge thoroughly. Anyone know how it can be fixed now? I'm guessing that if I just try and paste it back down it'll just curl back again.

  1. Sounds to me like you pressed too hard on the seams and forced out a lot of the paste. Look for "seam sealer" in stores that sell wallpaper.
