Why is my menstruation too slow? It shows once (usually pinkish) and then disappears for 2 days.?

Question

After 2 days it starts again but this time darkish and then fourth day it comes normal for 3 more days. I am 40. My smear test results 2 months ago were on the border line and I am so terrified as I wait for a repeat in November. I am so stressed and thinking all sorts but not bold enough to share it with anyone. Please help.
