i just asked a question earlier about how much water intake my son should have. she was saying how water can hurt children as young as he. then she told me the other day how since i am pregnant (8wks) that i am breathing too hard and needs to see a doctor. i know she is trying to be a good mother but she is really over doing it.. how do i keep from feeling like i have to worry or be paranoid by anything.. what do you think?

  1. Sift through her advice; some may be good for you and some may just be annoying.  Try to appease her by listening, but make up your own mind by doing careful research using reliable sources.

Moms worry - they mean well.

  2. its just moms nature, just tell her that you know your son and your own body better than anyone else and you appreciate her concern but you are capable of making those decisions

  3. She is your mother.. that is why.. she worries about you.  You should feel good that she loves you and cares about you.

Now you just have to take in what you want to take in, don't freak out over it, just let it go in one ear and out the other, but reassure her that your listening and appreciate her!

    it is her nature!

    Good Luck!

  4. She worries because she loves you and her grandbabies more than anything else. By the way, she is right about the water. My son's doctor explained that to me a while back. Too much water can actually do more damage than good to a young child. Ask your doctor about it. It's surprising.

  5. Being paranoid is not healthy for you or the baby....she is probably just worried about you......You should be seeing a doctor..hope you are..then you don;t have to be scared..HUGS!!

  6. My mom is being like that with my sister. Finally my sister told her that she was going to doctor on a regular basis and the doctor says that everything is fine and that mom doesn't have to worry she can just focus on being a grandma.
