This only happens to me when I put my head straight down and turn my head from side to side, it doesn't happen when I'm looking straight ahead. Right on the back of my neck is where this happens. My neck doesn't crack, it's almost like a popping noise. It doesn't hurt, but it just doesn't feel right, has anyone had this before? By the way I am going to see a doctor, but its about three weeks from now becasue that was the closest appointment. Any help would be great

  1. because it is out of line. the popping noise is your spine trying to re-adjust itself

  2. I remember my doctor once told me that if you hear noises from any joint in your body that it was usually caused by ligament damage
